THINGS TO DO AROUND

 Explore like a local

 Hit up a sports bar:

If you didn’t get ticket to the Cubs game, join in the game action at one of the area’s classic sports bars. Start off at the Cubby Bear, located just across the street from Wrigley’s main entrance. It’s a popular spot to grab a bite and a beer before the game, or to enjoy some live music when the Cubs aren’t in town.

Another classic is The Sports Corner Bar & Grill ,  this neighborhood bar is a long-time Wrigleyville staple with three spacious floors and a full menu of bar food staples.

There are also other popular sports bars in the area that we love like: Murphy’s Bleachers, Moe’s Cantina, Happy Camper, Rizzo’s Bar & In, Big Star and the ones in the Hotel Zachary, please go and take a look!

Hit the bustling shopping districts:

A long Broadway St, Belmont Ave, Clark St and the bustling Southport Corridor for local boutiques, record shops, and vintage treasure hunting.

Walking the lake:

On a nice day, walk east until you hit Lake Michigan. That’s where you’ll find a 1,200-acre outdoor oasis, featuring the scenic Lakefront Trail, a golf course and driving range, a boat harbor, tennis courts, and grassy fields perfect for picnicking.

Delicious food

Of course do not forget to try the famous deep dish and the chicago style hot dogs! our favorite in the area is Byron’s Hot Dogs and Coalfire for Pizza on Southport corridor!

Shows and theater

One great option is to visit The Laugh Comedy Stand Up on Broadway St. Also The Blue Man Group is a world-famous troupe that brings music, comedy, and performance art together in one unforgettable show (if you’re sitting in the “Splash Zone”, you’ll want to put on that waterproof poncho), or for a special and classic movie night, explore the Music Box on Southport Corridor.

Coffee shops:

As good Venezuelans we love good coffee and this is a great area to find some, we highly recommend Sugar Blow, Delicious coffee & empanadas, plus having the cutest selection of clothing, accessories, and home items to browse while you wait!

In the area you will also find Bolivar & Lincoln, Klein’s Bakery & Café and Bienmesabe if apart of a good cappuccino you would like to try some Venezuelan treats, dont doubt to visit these spots.!
